You will cook dishes that will delight our customers with their taste and timely delivery. An excellent cook must be able to follow instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals. To maintain the guestrooms and back of the house areas in good repair by performing various tasks related to a variety of trades including but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, painting, wall covering and masonry to ensure an attractive and well-maintained hotel. The Engineer will: - Inspect guestrooms, public spaces and back of the house areas to repair, touch up or replace light bulbs, lamps, switches, outlets, faucets, toilets, hardware, filters, paint, furniture, wall covering, caulking, grouting or other miscellaneous repairs. This requires the individual to visually inspect and detect items needing repair and requires a considerable knowledge of a wide variety of maintenance trades. Basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry and mechanical experience is used frequently on the job. Performing these duties requires experience in using basic hand and power tools and the ability to stoop, kneel, grasp, lift, push and pull weights up to 200 lbs.  climb ladders up to 30 feet high and reach in all directions, often times overhead. Detailed record keeping in English is required for logs and inspection sheets. Other: Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Pyramid Hotel Group from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.  Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. JOB OVERVIEW:  Provide linen supplies for room attendants, assist Room Attendants, and meet guest requests. Ensure that all laundry areas are cleaned and make sure all soiled linen/ terry is separated in linen bins and placed in the designated area for pick up. Deliver and retrieve items requested by guests and housekeeping teams.   DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Unloads delivery of clean linen onto shelves in the linen closets. - Matches count of items received to items sent on invoice. - Restocks and delivers clean linen to all floors of the hotel. - They keep the inventory of linen and control movement of fresh linen. - They also ensure that soiled and damaged linen is handled (disposed of or sent to the cleaners) according to company policies. - It is essential for linen attendants to be well versed in stock taking as this is a critical part of their everyday work. - Operate equipment necessary to sort, weigh, wash, dry, iron, fold and package guest laundry and dry cleaning, employee clothing, uniform and hotel linen. - Notify supervisor when service is complete so rooms may be sold or occupied. Report any room unable to be serviced to supervisor according to established procedures. - Report to supervisor needed repairs or unsafe conditions. - Respond to guest complaints, special requests and ensure corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction. - Report, turn in, and/or log all lost and found items according to established procedures. - Clean and service assigned rooms or areas according to established standards and procedures including making beds, - Log, tag and package guest and employee clothing and uniforms. - Deliver linen and amenities to guest rooms. - May assist with other duties as assigned. - May have turndown duties. - Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills and executing special guest requests.
