The “Avenue Bellevue” development is a newly constructed mixed-use hotel, retail & residence project "The Avenue" consisting of 365 luxury serviced condominium units in 2 towers opening November 2023, surrounded and in synergy with the 208 rooms and suite first class “InterContinental Hotel Bellevue”, convention center, several restaurants, 1,000-unit parking garage and extensive 100.000sf luxury retail space.   The InterContinental Bellevue at the Avenue is looking for Stewards who will help us deliver unforgettable experiences and seamless service through helping us clean, maintain, and sanitize glassware, silverware, kitchen equipment, and kitchen production areas.   Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be: - Cleaning our kitchen and “heart of house” – dusting, mopping scrubbing, washing, buffing etc. - Maintaining cleanliness of all major kitchen equipment, Food & Beverage facilities. - Cleaning and sanitizing our pots, pans, kitchen utensils etc. - Keeping all our chinaware, glassware, silverware, and kitchen equipment in stellar condition. - Polishing our silverware and making sure it is always guest-ready. - Stocking our kitchen with adequate cleaning supplies, chinaware, cooking equipment, and supplies. - Picking up and disposing of trash, cardboard, compost etc. in all Food & Beverage areas, including the Employee Cafeteria. - Preparing kitchen, and ensuring that adequate chinaware, silverware, kitchen utensils etc. are ready for the next shift. Requires continual standing and movement throughout front office area. - Verify and imprint credit cards for authorization using electronic acceptance methods. Handle cash, make change and balance an assigned house bank. Accept and record vouchers, travellers checks, and other forms of payment. Convert foreign currency at current posted rates. Perform accurate, moderately complex arithmetic functions using a calculator. Listen and extend assistance in order to resolve problems such as price conflicts, insufficient heating or air conditioning, etc.  Take ownership of guests challenges and follow through to ensure guest satisfaction. Remain calm and alert especially during emergency situations and heavy hotel activity. Plan and implement detailed steps by using experienced judgement and discretion. Other: Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Pyramid Hotel Groups from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.
