The Night Auditor is responsible for performing close of day reports, and audits for the hotel Front Office. This position will account for daily activity by organizing and verifying information; identifying and correcting discrepancies; posting accounts and running and distributing daily reports. JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a passionate hospitality professional; strengths in service, thorough knowledge of the guest’s experience, and exceptional Beyond Compare service attitude for the position of Valet Parker at the Boston Harbor Hotel, Boston’s only Forbes Five-Star waterfront hotel. This position is responsible for assisting each guest and outlet patron with Valet parking, and direction for self-parking.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
License Requirement:
Required to have and maintain a valid state driver’s license with a current address and an acceptable driving record. Ability to drive a vehicle with a manual transmission is preferred.
Experience:
Must have at least (1) or more years of experience, with a combination of previous Guest Services experience preferred.
KEY RESPONSIBILTIES
The primary responsibilities for the Valet Parker include but are not limited to:
- Inspect each vehicle before taking possession and mark tickets of findings, inform customers of valet rate.
- Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of Company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to the Manager.
- Have a thorough knowledge of the major streets, landmarks and freeways in the area of the hotel to be able to provide guest and patrons directions to various locations in the area, if needed.
- Observe all traffic laws and safe driving practices.
- Ensure prompt professional response to all guest requests for service.
- Assist and relieve door staff and bell staff as requested and directed.
- Open the door for all guests and patrons entering and exiting the hotel.
- Maintaining the lobby entrance vestibule including cleaning, vacuuming, etc. as needed.
- Acknowledge any approaching guest warmly and assist however needed.
- Perform in a standard as well as an automatic automobile.
- Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work area.
- Complete all other assignments, duties and tasks as assigned by the Concierge and Director of Guest Services.

We are seeking a skilled, committed and passionate culinary professional for the position of Cook at the Boston Harbor Hotel. This position will be responsible for the preparation of stations, production of food, execution of menu items and pristine plate presentation that surpasses guest expectations. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to become part of a team always pushing one another to raise the bar. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of relevant experience, with hot line experience required.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
This is a full-time seasonal role, candidates must have flexible night and weekend availability to fulfill this role.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably specializing in Culinary Arts, and or related major or equivalent experience is required.
Experience:
Must have at least one (1) or more years of related Culinary experience, with experience in Hospitality preferred. Hot line experience required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities for the Cook include but are not limited to:
- Completes daily prep responsibilities and sets line for service.
- Prepare all hot food items according to standard recipes and/or as specified on guest check. Ensure consistency of product for the guest.
- Check the quality of the food as it arrives in the kitchen and informs the Sous Chef of damage product. Properly labels, dates, storage of all food.
- Maintains work area in a safe and sanitary manner, and reports safety issues.
- Maintains high standards of food preparation in a timely fashion while performing multi tasks.
- Works closely with standard recipes and presentations in order to meet required food costs and obtain uniform quality. Maintains product consistency, seasoning of food, and plate presentation.
- Continuously looks for ways to increase productivity.
- Handles food and rotates it according to established procedures, including cooking and cooling temperatures.
- Utilizes proper and safe knife skills.
- Order food requisitions with collaboration of Sous Chef according to business.
- Respects and accommodates the food server’s request regarding guest’s personality, preference, and requests.
- Maintains a full line of communication with supervisors.
- Performs any other tasks as assigned by Sous Chef and assists in any area needed.
